Name:
Amelia Thorneycroft (mimi)

About You:
I've always been interested in crafts, but I've only started card making for the past 2 years. I suffer from mental health issues and don't go into the main school, a teacher from my school came to visit me and bought me a copy of the Cardmaking &Papercraft magazine. I subscribed and started card making from there. Then, when I was in hospital for two months, I shared my creations with the other patients in there. I lose motivation sometimes but crafting is always a good pick-me-up!
Because of my crafting story, I was recently made subscriber of the month by Cardmaking & Papercraft.

Name:
Sandy Beach

About You:
I live in a small town in Victoria, Australia. I am married with 2 adult children. I started out doing scrapbooking and kind of fell into card making as a way to use some of my scrapbooking supplies. Now I love the creative process of card making and scrapbooking is a definite second to my cards. I like to do the card challenges and sketches would have to be my favourite of the challenges. They give me so much inspiration, but I can still be creative in the way I use them.

Name:
Wendy Russell

About You:
I'm a mother of 2 girls, 10yrs & 18 months, 1 dog, 2 rabbits, tropical fish and of course my long suffering other half (bless him)!
Also work full time in the motor trade, so for me crafting is my down time. I get to sit at my desk and chill once the kids are in bed. My OH is a chef, so the evenings are pretty much my own , so C&C is on the telly and I catch up with the days shows. Initially I started crafting for my 1st wedding (2nd to come hopefully at some point), I did my own stationary, favours and cake and it's just steam rolled from there really. My style is very much vintage and Cath Kidston is one of my inspirations.

Holly Gwilliams

About You:
Hello, my name is Holly and I live in Yorkshire, UK, where it generally rains and does not much else, but that gives me plenty of time to sit indoors and craft. I have been making cards for about a year now and I soon moved onto sewing and trying other crafts too.
It started as something to keep me occupied while the hubby (or fiance as he was at the time) watched football (soccer to anyone in the US) and it became a bit of an obsession, so much so that my spare room is now my craft room and I no longer have to sit at the kitchen table.
My other hobbies include tap dancing, following MotoGP and reading. I also hope to start studying for my history degree later this year, as well as doing some creative craft courses at my local college, but first I need to go on my honeymoon as I got married over Christmas.
I sometimes wonder how I find time to do all this, and see my friends, as by day I am a legal secretary too.

Name:
Erin Stephenson

About you:
I am a veterinary technician living in Upstate NY. I had been pen palling for awhile when I noticed a lot of my new friends were into crafts and card making. I have never been very good with anything crafty at all. I can barely draw a straight line with a ruler but I was determined to give it a try. I fell in love with digital stamps as well as rubber ones and started using them on my letters. Then progressed to making my own cards. I still have so much to learn with all the different supplies and techniques! I am very excited to grow as a card maker.

What is your favourite technique?
I’m not sure if I have a favorite technique quite yet as I have so much to learn still. One of my favorite things is to add glitter to as many cards as I can. I love the sparkle. Glitter and I are not the best of friends though as I tend to get it everywhere except where I want it. I found a clear gel roll glitter pen that is my favorite way to add glitter. No mess!

Name:
Angela Westland

About You:
I worked most of my working life as a trained Nurse and a Sleep Apnoea Consultant. In the later years I worked in Local Government for 4 years. I am 54 and have retired to a country town in Australia with my husband. I now enjoy being part of Design Teams and taking part in challenges feeding my creativity in all themes of Papercraft including Scrapbook Layouts, Card Making, Beyond The Page Projects. I am always loving the challenge of something new that will stretch my boundaries and take me out of my comfort zone. I have been doing craft for 20 years or more, in the early days I started out doing folk art and soon found myself moving more towards the paper craft projects.

Your Personal Blog(s):

How long have you been blogging for?
Blogging is new to me and I have only been blogging for 3 months, I found when I started applying for Design Teams they required me to have a blog. So a very lovely friend of mine in England help me to set up my blog in late July early August and I love showcasing all my projects on my blog and am always willing to help if someone would like to know how a particular item was made.

What is your favourite technique?
My favourite technique would have to be using unusual card templates and colouring with my Copic markers.
